What To Expect

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What can I expect at the wheel-throwing workshop?

A. You will be creating 2 pieces of artwork with guidance from our instructors. The workshop will begin with a demonstration, so come on time.

Q. Are your workshops beginner-friendly?

A. Yes! Most people who join our Trial Workshops are first-timers. If you are a beginner looking to have regular practice sessions, we recommend the Short Class.

Q. What can I make during the wheel-throwing workshop?

A. Most first-time beginners make cups and bowls.

Q. What can I make during the hand-building workshop?

A. Anything your heart desires! We have seen people make trays, mugs and fun decorative pieces.

Q. Do I get to bring home the pieces on the day itself?

A. No, we will need some time to glaze and fire your pieces. You will receive a collection message from our studio once they’re ready.

Q. When will my pieces be ready for collection?

A. Your pieces will be ready in about 6 - 8 weeks from the day of your workshop.

Q. Do I need to prepare anything for the workshop?

A. We recommend that you cut your fingernails before coming for the session, just for your own comfort. Materials and tools will be provided.

Q. Will it get messy?

A. Yes but we provide aprons. Don’t worry if it does get on your clothes though, the clay we use won’t stain and is easily washable.

Q. Can children join the workshop?

A. Our minimum age for the wheel-throwing workshop is 12 years old. We recommend the hand-building workshop for younger children.

Q. I want to make a large group booking. How do I go about it?
